Why Baroque Pearls. Why Bold. Why Now
We chose baroque pearls because they are not perfect. That was never a compromise — it was always the point.
No two baroque pearls are the same.
This is not a flaw. This is the entire reason we chose them.
When we were building Amour Jewel, we could have gone the clean route. Symmetrical designs. Round pearls, uniform sizes, predictable silhouettes. Safe. Tasteful. Forgettable.
Instead we went looking for the ones with character — the pearls that grew sideways, that have a ridge where a smooth surface should be, that catch light differently depending on how you turn them. The ones that look, frankly, like they have something to say.
Because you do, too.
The women we make jewelry for are not trying to disappear. They are 28 and 48 and every age between, and they have spent enough time making themselves smaller, quieter, easier to swallow. They are done with that. They want earrings that walk into a room before they do. They want the ring that makes someone ask.
Bold is not a trend for us. It is a value.
And vintage — the 70s and 80s specifically — because that era understood something about adornment that got lost somewhere along the way. Jewelry was not delicate then. It was declarative. It was a woman saying: I have excellent taste, I know exactly who I am, and I dressed this way for myself.
We are making jewelry for that woman. We have always been making it for her.
She is you. She was always you.
Amour = Love. Jewel = You.
